Until today, all large specimens of Buliminus from Jordan had been identified as B. labrosus. However, the Jordanian shells show much broader and more cylindrical upper teleoconch whorls, which is typical for the “jordani” shell form. For this reason we here keep all large Jordanian Buliminus specimens separate as a species in its own rights until anatomical and DNA based investigations can verify or falsify this concept. Currently, there is no positive record for B. labrosus living in Jordan
